Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' is clearly the song of the Summer, but it may now be the song of the courtroom because Robin, T.I. and Pharrell are all facing a lawsuit from Mavin Gaye's Family and Bridgeport Music for copyright infringement.
Gaye's songs 'Funkadelic' and 'Sexy Ways' clearly have a similar sound but Thicke, Willaims and T.I. have fired back and filed a lawsuit against the family and the record company.
As of right now no action has been taking. Let's hope this can all be resolved without getting too messy and too expensive. And for those of you who might be curious take a listen and see if you think there's some copyright issues.
