WHAT IS THE GOT MILK?® BREAKFAST BILLBOARD PHOTO CONTEST?
The GOT MILK?
®
BREAKFAST BILLBOARD PHOTO CONTEST (the “Contest”) is a way for any California resident
ages 13-18 to submit an original color photo illustrating why breakfast with milk is important for
overall health and academic performance.
•
PRIZES:
Each contestant is allowed to submit one photo entry. The California Milk Processor
Board and its agents (collectively, “CMPB”) will choose one Grand Prize winner, one second place
winner and one third place runner-up. The Grand Prize winner will receive $1,000.00 and will
have his or her winning photo appear for one month on a billboard (or comparable advertising
media should winner’s city’s zoning law disallow billboards) in the winner’s city. The second
place winner will receive a $250.00 store gift card. The third place runner-up will receive a
$100.00 store gift card. CMPB will notify the Contest winners by mail and/or telephone within
five (5) days of CMPB’s decision. CMPB will give the winners their respective prizes no later
than November 5, 2012. Odds of winning the Contest depend on the number of eligible entries
received.

AGREEMENT WITH OFFICIAL RULES
: Participation in the Contest constitutes full and
unconditional agreement with and acceptance of these Official Rules and CMPB’s decisions
relating to the Contest, which are final and binding. Winning the Contest is contingent upon
timely fulfillment of all requirements set forth in these Official Rules.
•
ENTRY
: The Contest will begin on August 6, 2012 at 9:01 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (“PST”)
and end on October 12, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. PST. Each contestant must submit an original color
photo no larger than 8.5” x 11.” The photo must depict why breakfast with milk is important for
overall health and academic performance. Each contestant must keep the original photo in case
the contestant wins the Contest and is required to turn the photo over to CMPB. Each
contestant must submit his or her photo entry along with a completed Liability Waiver & Public
Relations Release Form (the “Liability Waiver”), that can be downloaded on
www.gotmilk.com

The Contest is only open to California residents who are 13 to 18 years old as of August 1,
2012. Each photo entry must be accompanied by the following information: the contestant’s
name, age, home address, phone number, and email address.
Any attempted Contest entry by any means except as permitted in these Official Rules is void.
CMPB is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, stolen, misdirected, undelivered, delayed,
inaccurate, garbled or illegible Contest entries or materials or for any computer, electronic,
internet hardware or software malfunctions, failures, connections, availability issues, garbled or
jumbled transmissions, service provider/internet/website/usenet accessibility or availability,
traffic congestion, unauthorized human intervention, inaccurate capture of any information, or
the failure to capture any such information. Proof of submission of a Contest entry will not be
deemed to be proof that CMPB actually received such entry. Each contestant is responsible for
providing all necessary equipment to create his or her photo entry. CMPB will not reimburse
any contestant for the costs of any materials used to create the Contest entry including, but not
limited to, cameras, software, etc. Contestants are not required to make any payment or
purchase to enter or win the Contest.
•
JUDGING
: CMPB will judge the photo entries based on presentation and overall quality to
support the Contest objective of showing why breakfast with milk is important for overall health
and academic performance. CMPB will judge all Contest entries and select the winning Contest
entry in its sole and absolute discretion. CMPB will select the winner by November 5, 2012.
•
ONLINE POSTING:
CMPB will post the names of the Contest winners as well as the winning
photo entries on www.gotmilk.com no later than November 5, 2012.
•
WAIVERS
: Each Contest winner, if 18-years-old, or a parent or legal guardian of a winner who
is 13 to 17 years old, will be required to complete and return an affidavit of eligibility (including
a declaration of compliance with these Official Rules), a W-9 Form, and a Liability Waiver. The
Liability Waiver will prevent a Contest winner from bringing a lawsuit or other legal action
against CMPB and will further prevent a Contest winner from recovering money damages or
other legal relief from CMPB. CMPB will deliver the prizes to the Contest winners, if 18-yearsold,
or to a parent or legal guardian of a Contest winner who is 13 to 17 years old.
•
PUBLICITY:
Except where prohibited, by participating in the Contest and, regardless of
whether a contestant wins the Contest, each contestant grants CMPB and its agents an
exclusive, irrevocable license to use, alter, adapt, publish, distribute, copy, exhibit, display,
market, promote, advertise, publicize, and otherwise make use of each contestant’s photo
entry, including the contestant’s name, signature, photograph, likeness, written and other entry
materials, as well as additional photographs, video footage or other images that CMPB may take
of the Contest winners. CMPB may use such materials in whole or in part, in any manner and
for whatever purpose CMPB elects, in any and all languages, and in any and all media now
known or hereinafter developed, including but not limited to, internet, television, radio and/or
printed materials, worldwide in perpetuity, without further compensation, notification or
permission from the contestant, if 18-years-old, or from a parent or legal guardian of a
contestant who is 13 to 17 years old. Contestants agree not to claim to be entitled to receive
any compensation or credit for any such use.
•
CONTEST WINNER
: Each Contest winner, if 18-years-old, or a parent or legal guardian of a
winner who is 13 to 17 years old, must present proper identification to CMPB before each
Contest winner will receive his or her prize. CMPB may ask the Contest winners to take part in
television, print, and online interviews on behalf of CMPB should media interest arise.

Each Contest winner is solely responsible for any applicable local, state and federal taxes, if any,
relating to his or her prize.
