Adele has tied another chart record with her smash album 21.

The nine-million seller has just notched its 72nd straight week in Billboard's Top 10, matching Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill for the most weeks in the Top 10 for an album by a woman.

21 slipped from number-seven to number-nine - its lowest chart position yet - due to big sales jumps by albums by Katy Perry, Gotye and Fun., spurred a one-day 99-cent sale by Amazon. 21 is expected to hang on in the Top 10 for another week to snap Morissette's record.
